I’ve come across the term เชิงถาม a couple times now but can’t figure it out.

Would anyone know or have any ideas? I would say it’s to have a Huh? look

about you but I’m just guessing.

In the example แตลอย is the name of the fat kid and ยศ is the name of the

guy talking.

“ไอ้อ้วน” แตลอยชะงักหันมองชี้ที่ตัวเอง เชิงถาม ยศบอกว่า “ฉันเรียกแกนั่นแหละ มานี่ซิ”

My guess is that it means "in an interrogatory manner"; "as if asking a question".

Here is a line from a magazine:
