Anyone know of any good quality watch shops in Chiang mai. Ideally not in the shopping malls, are there any independent shops anyone can recommend please?

Hi, I am a watch victim, love em - have too many, there is only one real watch dealer outside the big centres that I have found. I only have a card from their Optician shop, though it is in the same space at 101 - 105 Tha Phae Rd - Ph 053 276 483, name of business is Charoensilpa Optical, the watch dept has real qualified watch makers you can see working on pieces, and a reasonable range of mid to upper level brands. I met the son named Sonny, well spoken, just completed an MBA in the UK - Nuff said.

There is a watch shop near the archway into Chinatown. Just to the left when facing the river. The look to have a good selection. I have a Tissot Touch for sale. PM me if interested..

Kad Suan Kaew, inside there is a shop across from Swensens.

Seiko level of quality selection. Central also has a fair watch selection inside.

I too, can recommend Charoensilp. I have done a lot of business with them.

Thanks for the recommendation for the shop on Tha Phae road, went today, nice selection and helpful staff. I'm now a little poorer but have a great gift for tomorrow. Happy Christmas.
