Jai Dee Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 BMA GIVES GREENLIGHT IN SETTING UP STALLS Bangkok has provided the go-ahead for entrepreneurs to set up stalls, some even business and touristic spots. Bangkok Deputy Governor Wanlop Suwandee (วัลลภ สุวรรณดี) said that the BMA is working out plans to allow entrepreneurs to sell goods through setting up stalls in some areas in Bangkok. However he said stalls are not allowed to be placed in front of buildings, and the size of the shop must have the same as the standard, 2 x 1.50 meters. Many entrepreneurs are in the process of requesting for their own stall areas. Bangkok Deputy Governor said that the result will be revealed after all entrepreneurs have submitted their requests. The Bangkok Deputy Governor said that he will allow stalls to be set up in commercial or tourist areas such as Silom Road and Pakklongtalad. He will propose the matter to BMA committee members.
