September 23, 201312 yr He was a bit self centred, at times and a bit of a nutter but he was a fantastic trainer who demanded a lot from himself and others. He helped a lot of the younger players while at WHUFC. I think the Premier league is a decadent overrated league and a huge number of players, with their agents, are just taking the clubs and fans for a ride. It is hard to change that cushy privileged way of thinking and actually get the 'players' (players of the system) to change their ways and really earn their money.
September 23, 201312 yr I think he's left a train wreck behind in terms of the players we have in our squad now. Having watched the likes of Norwich, Cardiff, Palace, Hull and Newcastle this season, I am struggling to find anyone who is not passing, defending, crossing and shooting as badly as us .... relegations looms for whoever takes over. That said I'd like to go down playing nice football, so I'd give the job to Gus Poyet, but I know we'll end up with Pulis or McLaren!!

September 23, 201312 yr I'm disappointed for him, but I guess when you are that mad and your employees a bunch of premier league egos, it's going to end badly.

September 23, 201312 yr The circus has left town. But the camp site is still there, awaiting next arrival.

Come on its only 5 games and it is hard for me to say but you do have some decent players you will not go down you will just escape same as us . But we will finish above you and win both derby matches even with big Joe Kinnear pulling Pardews strings.

Only problem Hudd ever had was his work ethic. (same with Lennon) Still a fantastic passer of the ball. Worth a quick edit to say i'm sure Aaron Lennon will be up for grabs in january. He has Lamela and Townsend in front of him so zero chance of premier league game time. Edited September 24, 201312 yr by carmine
September 24, 201312 yr I feel for the fans, want a ?? come again Bob ?? was that meant to be "I feel for the fans; once a always a "? [if so .... +1 ]
September 24, 201312 yr I'm disappointed for him, but I guess when you are that mad and your employees a bunch of premier league egos, it's going to end badly. I understand West Ham fans having a fondness for him but the guys is a prize pillock. That business of him standing on the pitch gesturing with the Sunderland fans was embarrassing. Cringeworthy intact. I think he thought he was being clever. Just a very good retired footballer thats a total imbecile

September 24, 201312 yr Apparently, he told the players to "go upstairs and tell the board if you have a problem with me"....They did!...... Clever PDC 55555

Just a very good retired footballer thats a total imbecile Everyone remembers that incident, where he caught the ball in the penalty box to stop play, instead of smashing it into the net. Was hailed as some kind of fair play hero of the year, but my guess is that he did it for the publicity, not because he thought play should be stopped for the injured player. Yes, that business of him gesturing to the Sunderland fans was highly embarrassing.

Yes, that business of him gesturing to the Sunderland fans was highly embarrassing. I think we all agree he is the real "special one", but I'm sure he caught that ball on instinct. Don't think he started to think of the PR issues when the ball came towards him.

That was down to him pissing people off, not down to talent.. He has a habit of spouting off and making waves. If it wasn't for that, he would have played for Italy, had a less nomadic career and clubs like West Ham, Sheffield Wednesday and Celtic would have got nowhere near him.
September 24, 201312 yr Gus poyet hot headed Uruguayan don't think he would fit in in the north east Macanello
September 25, 201312 yr Gus poyet hot headed Uruguayan don't think he would fit in in the north east Macanello I'm not sure he is hot headed actually, and i think he's becoming quite a respected coach.

I think he has a personality disorder.. One of my all time favourite players, but I wouldn't want to share a cell with him.
