PATTAYA: -- A woman is believed to have fatally stabbed her Husband following a drink-induced rage at their family home in Sattahip district. Police arrested his wife of 10 years, Khun Kumnung aged 30 who confessed to stabbing her husband who she claims was about to hit her with a Buddha statue. She further claimed her Husband was a heavy drinker and would often assault her, especially when he was drunk. Anyone who thinks that Thailand is a violent place for 'domestics' should read the UK news over the last couple of weeks. Every day seems to bring news of a mutiple family fatal shooting or random fatal stabbing. I need to get out of this madhouse and back to the relative sanity of Thailand!

+1, I arrived back in the UK on boxing day and the news was full of domestics, murders, stabbings etc. There was even a fatal stabbing in a shop in the boxing day sales.

Wish I had stayed in Thailand
