Mini Golf?

Featured Replies

I live in Bangkok and wouldn't mind a game or two.

Is there a decent course anywhere in town? If so, how much is it?

I haven't seen one in the year that I've been here - but there has to be one somewhere....right?

I haven't seen any in Bangkok, but the last time I was in Chiangmai I saw one. I realize that doesn't help you if you're in BKK, but if there's one in Chiangmai, there's bound to be one someplace in BKK.

I think I saw one on Sukh. Road outside the Ambassador Hotel - soi 9ish

About five years ago there used to be a pretty crude miniature golf venue right off the Sukhumvit sidewalk in front of the Ambassador Hotel, vicinity Soi 13. Its been gone now for at least three years.

although it doesnt help you - 3 in Phuket.

Can I take this to mean that there really aren't any mini golf places in BKK anymore?

This is one of those things I would have thought Thais would have gone nuts for!

There is one in Pattaya, next to Ben's restaurant on the corner of Beach Road and Central Road.

:o Not being a golfer I can't be sure. If you mean par 3, there is one on Srinakrin road next door to Seacon square.

Hope it helps

It might solve the problem actually.

Are the ones in Chiang Mai, Phuket and Pattaya popular with Thai's or just the tourists?

That might explain the apparent lack of a BKK course...

Hmmm, mini-golf... seems like this would be a great business opportunity. The same for a mini-car race track (I think there is one in Phuket?).

There are a couple of mini golf places in Pattaya, and they are only ever populated by tourists.

I've never seen a Thai in one.

Well, heat and anyone with money to learn would probably play actual golf... however, I like the idea of an indoor mini golf at a shopping mall.... there is some merit to this ..like the indoor go karts; not too hot, open at night, yep, could work.

Does Dreamworld have minigolf?

Asked the wife and after a lot of googling she found:

Post 42:

"i just tried an authentic korean restaurant, SORABOL, on sukumvit 26 next to mini golf course behind carrfour. it serves best kimji, reckon hen soup and korean vermicelli specialties. you won't be disappointed."

Might perhaps be a clue to an existing course.

That's a golf driving range.

Then we know. The posts didn't say so.

Besides the tourist-spots it's not many courses in the country and BKK seems empty of them.

I know of two go kart tracks in bangkok, although I don't know how popular they are. One is right up pahonyothin from central lad phrao.
