January 9, 201214 yr EC set to file Jatuporn case THE NATION The Election Commission will ask the House Speaker this month to seek a Constitution Court ruling on the qualification of Pheu Thai party-list MP Jatuporn Promphan, EC chairman Apichart Sukhagganond said yesterday. The EC decided to disqualify Jatuporn on grounds that he did not meet qualification as a member of the Pheu Thai Party, and thus was not eligible to become an election candidate. Apichart said the EC office was in the process of finalising wording of the EC's decision before the case is submitted to the Speaker for passing on to the Constitution Court. Apichart said the statement should be sent back to EC members to sign this week and would be submitted to House Speaker Somsak Kiartsuranon by mid-January. -- The Nation 2012-01-10
January 9, 201214 yr Not qualified to be a member of Pheu Thai Party.... even with the extremely low standards that entails... could lead to revocation of his MP status and loss of Parliamentary immunity, which would mean a return to Bangkok Remand Prison. .
January 10, 201214 yr In the real world no political party would allow this nasty under their umbrella. Meanwhile here in Thailand the court has to waste its time dealing with him.
January 10, 201214 yr It won't stick, unless govt use law 112, which trial is being held behind close door.
