wow_woww
It would be great if someone could let me know if a Non Immigrant "O" visa has ever been obtained on the basis of having a child who was born in Thailand, and also resides in Thailand. Would a 30 year old Aussie male be able to obtain a Non Immigrant "O" visa at a Thai embassy in Australia or a neighboring country on the basis of having had a child born in Thailand with a Thai female national(he is not married with the lady), the child resides in Thailand and relies on the financial support of the male. If the visa is obtainable would it be multiple entry 1 year visa? Any info or experiences in applying will be appreciated. Thanks.

opalhort
you MAY be able to get a Non-Imm-O visa at a CONSULATE! if you have the birth certificate listing you as the father - but don't count on it. Get a tourist visa, get married and then get your Non-Imm-O visa! opalhort

dr_Pat_Pong
If you are on the birth certificate it'll be a breeze. Download the application form at www.thaiconsulate.org.au The instructions are there too.
francois
true ! a part from the problems I have now .. getting an non-0 valid for one year is absolutly ok with the birth certificate of your child, you would need a cerified-copy of the ID card of your GF, that's it. just get them translated in your home language ... this is for the consulate I got mine in the Thai consulate in Geneva, easy francois
