Trim enabler now has a very nice user interface:

Apple enables TRIM in OS X Lion, but only for Apple-supplied SSDs. So if you have a 3rd party SSD, TRIM will be off. I installed the TRIM enabler when I first found it last year, not thinking about too much.

But yesterday I restored my boot SSD from backup - this process wipes all data off the disk, and with TRIM enabled that means it's basically good as new at that point. I just did a benchmark test, and compared to an older one, it's a speed up of 270%!

No doubt thanks to TRIM, as what I really saw before enabling TRIM is a severe degradation of performance from new.

This is on an Intel X-25M G2, by the way.
