As per thread title.

Just been dropped in it by a mate in the Phillipines, he has sent his mate here for his virgin trip. I do not know the guy but he landed yesterday and is coming from BKK tomorrow and just called me to organise him a room......... hate this shit as I know little in regards to the lay of the "tourist" land so to speak.

So any suggestions ?

Sabai Lodge, Soi 2.

Saw a special there last year for around 900bt.

Try r-con hotel in soi bukaew, big beautifull rooms with mini bar, cable etc only around 600 baht per night

I would recommend BJ Holiday Lodge in Soi 3.

Just 100 meters from Beach Road and within his budget.

I also liked the SummerSpring in Soi 1, but a bit more pricey.

Pig n Whistle, soi 7, 1,100 per night high season

I'd go for this one, the Green Hotel (the one that's painted all orange...) Good rooms, a pool, breakfast, and a minute's walk to the beach.
