So not on the 5th feb in Pattaya then.

The dragon was outside MIke dept store on Monday morning, and the firecrackers were going off Sunday/Monday.

I dont quite see how a lunar event could happen at a different time in Pattaya to the rest of the world, but stranger things have happened, I suppose.

Guess my answer is too late.. But still worth posting, for next year!!!

At the end of the Nakula Road, there was big market and performance on the 2012 Chinese Luna New Year eve.

I went there and enjoyed it. There were western music show, thai traditional show and Chinese performance.

In Nuklua Park, they set up a big Chinese style stage for the little girls to do performance.

If there are Chinese holidays, Naklua road will also have some celebrations. I heard people say Naklua area used to be a China town in Pattaya.

Feb 6 is "Lantern Day" in China. It is another important Chinese festival.

I guess you heard "Feb 5" is because Feb 6 is a Monday and Feb 5 is Sunday, better to have party.

If Naklua has celebration, they will also put out the posters a few days in advance.

You can celebrate the year of the Snake -- February 10th.......................................................................2013jerk.gif
