Renewing Child'S British Passport

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm sending off today to renew my daughter's passport. I seem to remember reading somewhere that I have to send my birth certificate. I can't seem to find online the list of documents required.

Can anyone advise on what documents to attach?

Someone else told me that all I need is her old passport and the photos.

Thanks

Woopsie...my mistake....for renewal you wouldnt need to send your birth certificate, but you will need to get someone to get the photos's endorsed and the form signed by someone in a position of good standing, this as far as i know is applicable to children...also you are aware everything needs to go to Hong Kong and you send copies, not the originals via DHL or similar

Thanks - I'm going to send the original passport as it's of no use(expired). As far as I can see, this is the only document required, along with photos and the form.

HK tell you specifically to send only a copy, so this is all you need to do, I would not be sending an original passport, expired or not in the post even if its a courier, what happens if for some reason the original goes missing before reaching HK ?....you would be knackered
