Any ideas on sourcing LPG hoses with end fittings similar to the water hose connections so common in Thailand. Unfortunately the water hoses are not compatable with LPG.

Thanks

Do you mean LPG quick connects like this :-

I would start at your local gas bottle shop, take the picture so they know what you're on about.

Places selling air powered tools will likely have something similar intended for compressed air, no idea if such would be safe on LPG but the pressure is significantly lower than any air system.

Clear tubing, preferrably with reinforcing threads is ok for LPG,brass barbs and nipples are generally used for joinerswith a hose clamp of course.

Snap fittings as used for compressed air are not generally suitable as some need pressure to seal.

LPG pressure ex regulator is only 12 inches water column or 4 ounces PSI.

Most lpg appliences are only fitted with a barb for connection as are the outlet side of regulators.

only orange reinforced rubber LPD specific hoses are legal in EU, 10 years lifetime after date on hose.

any metal snap fitting is not allowed for 3 reasons. It can ignite LPG when metal scratches metal. It will leak sooner rather than later. Some need pressure to seal. In addition they all use o-rings which may not be LPG tolerant

If you don't have any luck here you could try Malaysia if convenient since their gas bottles use snap on connectors.

Otherwise, as KBB mentioned, the orange high pressure hose is available at most gas supply shops. Advise you use two good quality hose clamps at each connection and check all with soap solution whenever you change bottles.

Would steer clear of the clear hose methinks.

Copper tubing as used in most domestic/marine applications in the west is really the best option ( fricking rats ate through our orange run to bottles outside house!) but tubing and fittings/flaring tool seem harder to source here.

At the moment and in the interim I will be using high pressure gas hose and barbed fittings / hose clamps - heading back to Aust. for a couple of weeks shortly and will collect the necessary pipe fittings and change to copper pipe ASAP.

Yes - very difficult if not impossible to source tube fittings etc locally - been into more than a dozen likely looking shops/ hardware / pipe supply shops - all I get is a strange look and "mai mee " when I show a picture of what I want.
