Funny how the bleeding hearts, anti war-on-drug,"human rights" activists are quiet today. If this drug dealer has been deal with earlier, this poor lady will still be alive.

this one was a verified drug dealer unlike the innocents and kids killed during the thaksin war on drugs ..... please use your brain if you have any before spitting on the memory of all the innocents killed back then

1/ The war on drug was justified. According to different sources the number of drug addicts in Thailand varies between 2 to 5% of the total population, up to 5% of youth in secondary and tertiary eduction are either using or dealing meth. The drug traffic has huge impact on organized crime, official corruption , street violence and domestic violence.

2/ The war on drug was effective in reducing drug consumption, especially in schools, by raising retail price and reducing supply.

3/ Despite all his efforts, Abhisit's investigation failed to find or publicize any evidence linking Thaksin or members of his Government to any extrajudicial killings.

Are the extrajudicial killings of innocent (the ones that had nothing to do with drugs) people OK just because Thaksin and his government weren't directly linked to them?

They had a task force of 80 looking for a obviously deranged killer.

That doesn't mean 80 were there surrounding the house waiting

to shoot anyone if he looked suspicious.

Many no doubt manned phones, winnowed through tips from sane and demented,

while others went to locations the better tips indicated might be fruitful. 10 to an arrest team seems a minimum for someone this unstable and demonstrably violent.

The guy just shot and killed a randomly passing woman for her bike,

during a police pursuit, of a drug bust he was involved in,

I figure if they said 150 were on the task force it would be equally viable.

Sorry but this anti-war, drug law reform advocate (especially the refusal to deal with it as an addiction rather than as a criminal matter) bleeding heart leads a productive life and is at work during the day. But let me say you're itellectual arguement about how criminalizing addicition rather than treating it would have prevented this death is a clear display of your brain power. Which bar will you be speaking at next? I don't want to miss out on more wisdom. Lucky for you that you missed out on the era of criminalizing alcohol consumption.

He had been dealt with earlier as he had just been released from prison on the kings parden one week ago, so maybe these people you seem to despise have a good point .

These people released each year on the King's pardon, are they selected at random, or is it a blanket pardon? Are they profiled for suitability of release? When released is their any parole system?

I thought I read somewhere that people convicted of drug and/or corruption offenses were not eligible for the pardon. Maybe someone sluffed this one up.

So you are a functional drug addict and you think you are ok. But ask anybody who has lived with an alcoholic, a drug addict or even a heavy smoker if it's ok for them. But I would say it's your life and if the people who live with you love you enough to support the sufferance you bring on them, after all it's their choice too.

But the problem is all the others who never asked for anything and don't care about you but suffer from your addiction, because whatever you say, you're not that functional.

Only scum think that the war on drugs - leaving people dead - is justified.

This man shoot and innocent women and fired upon police - his death was seemingly unavoidable and the shooting hopefully justified.
