TheKeeNok
I know mussels are easy and cheaptofind, but I am looking for FROZEN GREEN NEWZEALAND MUSSELS. Location, weight and cost would be appreciated! I like mussels in my pasta, but am worried whether the ones in the markets are "|safe". Tanks! notmyself
Seen them in Makro and Tesco. Nothing wrong with the local musssels if you know hoe to clean them porperly. I get them for 35 baht/kilo. I eat local ones too and find them fine. Fry some thin sliced garlic (not minced) over a very very low heat then add the mussles. Very easy dinner to make and cheap too. 5kg of mussles, pasta and a couple of French sticks will serve 6 people with ease at a cost of well under 100 Baht a head.
