January 30, 201214 yr Well, my time in Pattaya is up for now. So I'm moving to Chiang Mai for 6 months maybe longer. What's a good area of town to move to? I'll be renting a luxury apartment. Also, where the some good bars? Restaurants? Stores?
January 30, 201214 yr i would suggest just get here find your way around see how you feel and take it from there.
January 30, 201214 yr Popular Post There's no diet coke, someone found some Pepsi Max and people are not impressed, but giving more time to, the new (not really) Duke's Burger Bar. Loi Kroh girlie bars are shutting early, the queues at immigration are outrageous but Sausage King's opening a new joint out in San Sai. There's been a mild increase in demand for flat bed and larger than normal truck rental if you're up for a new business. The Pun Pun isn't actually closing, and everyone breathed (word or not?) a sigh of relief. Think that covers what's been going on so you're up to date on the stuff that you should know. Where to stay? Young and hip - Nimanhaemin Road (recently renamed Nemen Hymen). Old with Viagra - anywhere just south west of Tha Pae Gate. Computer and Thai Visa addict with a family - San Sai. Down with the locals - Mae On. Give us a clue.

January 31, 201214 yr You could learn to swim. My Thai son, and his Thai wife, here in CM, are both fully qualified professional swimming instructors, and both have lots of experience. Son speaks good English, no language barrier. Both can also teach tennis, son is also an expert rugby and soccer coach and more. Up to you. Edited January 31, 201214 yr by scorecard

January 31, 201214 yr Well, you didn't give us much to go on as to what you are looking for specifically (i.e proximity to international schools, etc). However, taking a quick gander at your topic posting history and seeing such gems as: - "My Wife Wants To Work At A Gogo good idea or not?" - "Help! My Wife Won'T Give Me Money For Booze" - "My Thai wife is receiving an international bank wire deposit. " I would say that you and the missus would be most at home in the immediate Loi Kroh area of Chiang Mai. Many good bars, stores, and restaurants in the general area. As for renting a "luxury apartment", I think the closest thing which would qualify, is probably Twin Peaks Condo, on Chang Klan Rd. Good luck OP. I'm sure I'll run into you some night around LK. (assuming of course the wife grants you a bit of drinking money!) -Mestizo Edited January 31, 201214 yr by Mestizo
