January 30, 201214 yr When I was in the UK 8 years ago I put laminate flooring from B&Q around the house, I seem to remember that this was pretty cheap to do, and came in packs that just slotted together, from what I have seen in Thailand, laminate flooring seems to be about 10 times more expensive than in the UK. Does anybody have any knowledge of where to buy reasonably priced laminate flooring. Thanks
January 30, 201214 yr One reason for the difference in price, does the UK have the same problems with termites that Thailand does? Why someone would want to buy laminate flooring in this country is beyond me, check out the price of, granite flooring, about 1000 baht per s/m will get you something nice. If you like the look of wood, some nice mai daeng will cost about 2000 baht per s/m. It is beyond my comprehension why crap laminate costs more in Thailand, but in most cases its because its expensive imports that the Thais tax the shit out of. Take a look at local houses/condos that have had laminate put down, a life span of about 2 or 3 years if you are lucky, after that its ripped up and quality flooring laid in place.
