Urine infection
Need not be a urine infection, depends on the types of symptoms. Doctors tend to give antibiotics as infections are most common sources of frequent & urgent urination plus excessive pain. For myself it turned out I did NOT have an infection (after 2 large doses of antibiotics which had NO effect) but had a large pingpong ball sized bladder stone (2.5cm diameter). You need good diagnostic investigation. Treatment of kidney stones or bladder stones is Lithotripsy - blasting it with a laser You cannot catch a urine infection by standing next to someone unless he urinated on you. It is not that kind of pathogen. For infections the go to drugs are the correct antibiotics depending on what bacteria has infected you. -

I left Samui almost a decade ago after living there for nearly a decade. When I arrived there it felt like paradise, and when I left it felt like it had become an old dish rag in a restaurant kitchen that hadn't been cleaned in 2 years. The overdevelopment was rampant, the lack of local pride was rather sickening, the unwillingness of the authorities to clean things up, to improve the aesthetic of the place, plus the overcrowding, massive traffic issues and price gouging were were more than I wanted to deal with. Some of the smaller towns here are still delightful and the quality of life is high, and the cost of living is low. For many of us Thailand is still very close to paradise. Granted most of us that are saying that are people who have limited means, and if we were wealthy enough we would likely be spending a good portion of the year elsewhere. -

About 12 years ago, a young 18 year-old in my family-in-law died in a car accident because his friend was driving recklessly and none of them were wearing seatbelts. It was a terrible ordeal for everyone, especially his parents, and I thought they would never recover from it (especially his mum). All these years later, they are now doing "okay" and have moved on, to the extent possible. However: Do they now wear seatbelts when they travel by car? No. Do they raise awareness in the community so that what happened to them doesn't happen to someone else? No. Do they wear helmets on their bikes? No. To me, the fundamental factor seems to be Buddhism and the inherent belief that if your time has come, then that is the way it is and it is not in your hands. -

Also be aware of supplements from Lazada, many fakes from USA, like those joint supplements from USA, lots are fake, and the danger is that you are putting something in your mouth you have no idea what it is... you can tell, many have very far in the future expire date, The expire date is in the bottle, which are mostly fake, expire date is usually on the label for the real goods, label cost becomes more expensive, It's cheaper to batch print clone labels. Then the quality of the label you can tell it's from a laser printer, not the high quality paint of the original label. They usually miss a serial number as well. just observe that in Lazada. -

I agree. The change in the last 15 years is already astonishing. By 2040 the city will no longer be attractive to retirees. The same applies to Phuket. There will be no "idyllic bubbles" left. Property developers will.make sure of that. -
