chooka
So has she publically done the deed or has it just been a bluff to try and bring Britan to it's knees? I guess she has no face left to appear in public and her bluff has been called.
edwardandtubs
If you'd all just read what's written thus far you'd see that she's in Japan at a conference! What's the source of that information?

Try #471 for starters, everyone else should try reading this: http://www.andrew-drummond.com/view-story.php?sid=490 - the UK courts may not agree to her comming back but the Eurpoean Court has agreed to hear her appeal, guess where that will lead. Also, for those who have automatically accused her of adultry you should perhaps lend at least a little credance to her version of events involving Turkish cruises for starters. Get serious, this was not a Thai/Thai marriage in Thailand where a culture such as you describe MIGHT apply, it was a Thai/Scottish marriage in Scotland where it certainly does not apply. You may have had a stronger argument if the groom had been Thai and living in Scotland he chose to continue with his homeland tradition, but for a Scottish husband to suddenly assume a Thai tradition in his home country is stretching the envelope just a few miles too far! They were married twice in Thailand. That is what farangs expect when they marry a Thai girl, for her to behave as Thai culture has raised her. They can get the other kind(gold diggers) in their home country, but you knew that already. Edited February 14, 2012 by z12

I do love that bit of logic.... As I live in thailand I must respect thai culture.... but when we are travelling my wife must ignore local culture and keep thai culture, right? animatic
In the land where older Thai women actual pick their husbands mia noi, or just ignore them, this woman is being more than a little hypocritical about saying she may reveal his "turkish delights". The more we hear of this story, the more it's clearly ABOUT THE MONEY. A shot of her in front of the EU buildings means she went to the sidewalk outside the EU buildings and took a poic. She publicly announced suicide, but today doesn't even explain that she changed her mind. Or is she implying that getting her case accepted for preliminary hearing stopped her suicide today?
F1fanatic
So, to summarise:- She has decided not to commit suicide and is in Japan for a 'conference'? chiang mai
The subject in all of this is the husband who is not Thai and his behaviour which is, according to Z12, in accordance with Thai culture and that's OK simply because he's married to a Thai, bizzare logic at best. chiang mai
What's really alarming about some of the comments in this thread is the number of people who have adopted a vigilante position and who ignore completely the need for legal due process, scary, very very scary.

As hard as it is for Thais to get a VISA to Japan, I doubt it, unless she has been sent there as part of the human trafficking trade as sadly many Thai ladies are. F1fanatic
If the Scot has an ounce of romance in him, he will send roses and a thank you card to be delivered post mortem. If he's truly a Scot, he'll wait until after St. V's day when the prices have dropped. Off topic I know, and apologise. But my ex-hubby once bought me flowers to 'apologise' after an argument. I pointed out they were not 'at their best' and asked whether he had bought them 'cut price' from Tesco... He admitted he had ! It was so funny that I could only laugh and forgive him immediately as it was so typical!

Because of women like her, many countries have implemented laws to prevent fraudulent marriages, thank goodness. So there is your farang legal system, happy now.
