tombkk
A friend told me today that the minimum age for the retirement visa has been or is going to be changed from 50 years to 65 years. Since I did not read about this over here, I doubt that this is true. However, it is always good to ask the experts. Is it true?
Jingthing
I find it weird that a moderator would post such an outlandish rumor. Your source -- a friend? Oh please. I'll go out on a limb here. The O-A long stay visa and retirement extension minimum age is 50 and there is no news about that changing up or down. tombkk
JT, I do not moderate this particular form. I am a mere member over here. Sorry to have caused confusion. And yes, I did have dinner with a friend this evening, and I do think his information is incorrect. What harm does it do to ask the experts over here? merijn
There are no any plans to change the retirement age in the (near) future.
wayned
Merijn, And your source is "a conversation during dinner with a friend"? Just an early mornibg dig, no conforntation intended!
lopburi3
As the age was reduced from 60/55 to 50 (for retirement extensions) only a little more than a decade ago find that rumor rather suspect. Closed
