Just wondering if anyone who has gone through a similar situation can shed some light on what i can expect in time scale..after submitting an application for a child settlement visa(April 2011) for my stepdaughter to the UK(which was refused) our appeal was allowed by the tribunal in Glasgow(Dec 2011) Both myself and the Embassy got the determination on the 13th January 2012 and as far as i have read and had recorded telephone messages from the tribunal i see that the Embassy are supposed to contact my stepdaughter within 8wks, my main concern is considering the appeal has been allowed i wouldve thought maybe the Embassy might have called to ask for the passport or are we put in a queue like us all when submitting applications.Yes i also know that they can appeal the tribunal's decision but we havnt heard anything to suggest this and also that they can re interview to see if circumstances are the same as the original application before granting the visa.So again i take it if i havnt heard anything after the 8wks i take it i should call them and not before?

They will be in touch dont worry the last appeal that was overturned that we submitted was a 3 week wait before they issued a visa.

TVE must say a big thank you for your work behind the scenes in the last few months, away to Thailand in March to be reunited with my wife and daughter then take my stepdaughter back to Scotland. Also thank you to follow members who at the time of our original application provided support and advise(not negative comments like 1 idiot who should keep their personal remarks to themselves) Its been a very tough year but on the 23rd when i see my family i know itll all change for the better.Thank you again forum for your help....
