There must now be 1000 sunbeds on Nai Harn beach & there is no break in them to walk to the beach. As you face the sea on the left side around where the water flows into the lagoon they put the sun beds so they are touching the sea? how do you have your morning walk? crazy. Also now there are 3 sala's (tuk tuk) on public land where they ply their trade but also now they have put up make shift no parking signs, 8 years ago it was nice here now going down the pan at the beach. I have been to o-bor-tor, he has sent a letter to Umphur but of course not chased it up, I have chased up o-bor-tor & I will chase up again? why does it take so long to get things done? we all know why

With a name like helloagain it's probably more appropriate to say welcome back to the forum. tongue.png

It's very bad news if the TTM are taking over the few car parking spots available at Nai Han. For some of us less mobile people, who don't use bikes, it could make the beach inaccessable.

Tons of parking around the wat OC, no problem there. But what's ludicrous is the locals don't use that, they park with half of their cars in the road, turning two lanes into one.

Bit of a walk to the beach from there for some, and that's where all the learner drivers go to hone their skills sufficient to pass the rigid DL test. Your vehicle could be in dire danger if parked there.!rolleyes.gif

You don't have to park that far away, easy parking where all the food sellers set up.That lagoon will open up once a bigger tide comes to address op's query. Yes there are too many sun beds, but I think we'll see some of them removed at the end of the month........hopefully!

i hate to say this for the risk of spoiling it but, Ya Nui beach. keep it to yourselves.

Even Ya Nui is crowded these days with sun loungers.

Was on the beach at Nai Harn yesterday and where the OP is mistaken is sun loungers all the way to the waterline. No way. Right now the beach sand is so big there is at least 25 meters of free sand front row chair loungers to waterline.

It depends if the tide is in or out

You can tell when the tide has been way up as the sand is more dense and compact. Right now the tides are staying down whether high or low and it's 25 meters of white fluff, the whole length of the beach !!!

True, we're on neaps atm.. and 4 days or so its back up to 3.0m at midday, but we should still have some sand, the highest it usually goes is about 3.6m
