Fookhaht Posted February 19, 2012 Share Posted February 19, 2012 I did it the other direction--Hue to Mukdahan. One bus from Hue to Savannakhet: About $25 USD. Stayed overnight in Savannakhet and took local bus across bridge into Mukdahan. About 15-20 minute delay at Lao Bao while some passengers obtained visa-on-arrival to go into Laos.
