Hello,

i'm looking for a hotel near Khao San for my family and me. (2 adult, 2 chrildren, 15 and 12) We have been two times in Soi Rambuttri, but for the requested period it is already fully booked. So are there any good alternatives?

We want a clean and quiet place in walking distance to Khao San. For the children it should have a swimming pool.C

Can you recommend me something?

Thank you!

yes and no

Yes- I can name 100s of places around KSR-of which maybe 20-30% would be quiet, and among them are a tiny few that have own pools. No sweat: nearly all also take paying guests to use the pool if you decide to stay elsewhere. Google for sites like khaosanner or khaosanroad and many will also pop up.

NO- I never rec-as people tend to be so enormously fussy and can react like hurt when they get advised something too cheap or too high for their budget-which you did not even tell.

If you indeed have stayed on Rambuttri then you must have seen that there are at least 20 alternatives around. Plus you did not tell the date/period-maybe you hit superhi-season and that would mean anything is ful. or you in your eternal anxiety-try to book so long before, that vacancies not even open.

BTW-right now I sit in STREET Rambuttri-there is also soi=behind the temple and the last weeks it is indeed super crowded everywhere-with in the morning bekpekkers trundling around looking for rooms-which there are, but not yet made ready at that time. Which many of them seem completely unable to even understand as a concept. (not now=8,12-wait till cleaning lady has done her job-say 11./12.00-then come back)

I can't remember the name but it is a nice place and has a pool and was quiet when I stayed there but pretty much right in the midst of all the khao sarn bustle.

If you went down the road right beside the temple, at the end it goes to the left. Well if you just went strait down that small alley (passageway) it is to the right and just 1 minute to the river and 2 minutes to khao sarn rd.

Maybe someone there can tell you the name. I didn't even know it existed the first 2 or 3 times I stayed in the khao sarn area (until I grew up.)
