Started a UK family visit visa application for my wife yesterday, so far so good. Planning to collate all the documents, etc. over the coming few weeks then submit the application. So, went to the VFS Global appointments website to book a date only to find that the only dates available in the coming 3 weeks are this week! Can this really be true, or do new dates appear over time?

A recent press release suggested applying early this year due to Easter, Diamond Jubilee & Olympics.

They have not gone they just have not made them available yet .

The only appear like that. I would get the docs together first and do the online application but towards the end of the week, giving your wife time to get herself to BKK to submit the application. Turnaround is about 5 working days (my wife submitted on the 7th Feb picked up on 14th Feb).

They dont open dates up that far in advance just keep checking.

Appointments can only be booked up to a week in advance, thats why it won't show anything after this week yet
