July 18, 201214 yr I had a young lady about 30 -35 push me out of the way to take a seat on the bus and I am 25 years older and 100 lbs bigger. I was lucky to get the seat behind her and of course she felt my knee in the back of her seat. I have on many occasions on the BTS or bus got up to let a pregnant women sit down while 20 to 40 years olds just ignore the situation. But of course there are those who do but the don'ts outnumber them. I told my wife to get that T-Shirt with the arrow pointing to the stomach and the words Baby. See if she can get a seat.
July 18, 201214 yr If you set foot on the bts you should be assuming you are going to stand. I really don't like it when people kinda expect a seat, those are the last people I feel compelled to give mine to.

When I take my 3 yr old son on it, and someone offers to give him a seat, I kindly, gently reply in my usual diplomatic, albeit sarcastic way, thanks but no thanks, the boy is younger than me, he can stand <deleted>

July 19, 201214 yr ....not all in there 20s are fit and well. I am sometimes in such pain I have to hold my chest. Standing up for a person because they are older does not always make sense. I disguise the pain... So they must think I am a jerk when I don't stand for them....
