I live up north and some friends are coming to visit and we are going to take the train to get as close to Krabi as we can. There will be six of us. Looks like there would be far more options getting off in ST than going any further south. Does anyone's wife or husband or GF or BF have any relatives with minivan for hire? We would need a return trip back to ST as well. I found it much better to try and find in advance than to get surprised and most of the time, screwed upon arriving at the destination, in this case, the train station in ST. Just looking for a fair deal and not a farang screwing. If I haven't lived here for the last 3 years and did not know any better, then it would not be so painful to take it in the shorts, but.....Thanks in advance....ett

There are van services that run out of bkk.If ya check the forums out,i'm sure you'll find A servive that can help ya.

We want to get a van in Surat Thani, not Bangkok. Preferably one from the train station if possible. ett

K. Bo at Ao Nang Village Bungalows has a van service. He speaks English.

Also, not sure where you are staying, his place definitely not upscale resort but comfortable, clean and way reasonably priced in a great location, two minute walk to the beach. Rates posted on their site are a joke, don't pay attention there, cut them in half if not more.

I'm sure even if you weren't staying there he could still do the transfer.
