Endorphin
Anyone knows a service that uses e-visa for visa runs to Cambodia?
visarunner
You have to find a compamy who go to PoiPet.And the E-Visa must be arranged by you. Most companies from Pattaya go to Ban Pakkard, but that border can not process your prearranged E-Visa.
bangkokburning
I am confused. The company supplies your visa. Why would you want to put your cc online with freaking Cambodia anyway? IF you already have an E visa and looking for transport to Cambo. Serach my name and you will find how to do the run for about B550 in a great minivan RT. Returns run < 1 hour! falang07
CC is processed in a standard way on a secure server, no need to worry about the security, I use e-visa all the time and never had any problem... It is that the visa run company looses some money from you if you buy the e-visa so they might not like the idea.
bangkokburning
Wouldn't touch it. What do you gain? Never takes me more than 5 mins to make the visa at the border. Nothing to gain, cc details to lose. my 2 baht
bendejo
From what I hear, e-visas are being recommended to travelers to bypass being shaken down for inflated visa fees by the free-market libertarians at Cambodia immigration.
bangkokburning
Never been shaken down for a riel. I am sure that you can find an agency to take you but I bet they are going to charge to about B1400. They aren't going to take up a seat for some guy with his own visa and not make their cost/profits. The van services are often not run by any given agency and have been pooled for years. Best bet is to try - CambodiaInter or something like that (its been years), on Soi Bukhao if it is still there. If you go with a service that provides a visa why are you worried about being shaken down? I am mystifed. Need to get your travel panties sorted - You do an E visa BUT...you want to use a visa service for the runner????????????????????
Pattaya46
> Nothing to gain Cambodia e-Visa is often used by those who want to save a page on their nearly full passport
falang07
evisa is $25 which is about 750 THB (standard visa is $20/600 THB). Visa run offered by the companies are 2000 THB for farangs, 700 for filipinos or other nationalities not requiring the visa. That means the visa run companies sell you the visa for 1300 THB/$43. My 2 cents.

bangkokburning
I have never payed more than US20 nor have I ever been asked for any money from any immigration offical on either side of the border. I bet I have crossed this border 30 times and as early mid 90s. If you go with a company - you will pay almost full amount regardless if you have your own visa. Indeed - the EVisa on top of being uneccessary is more costly. Love you guys ...they create a hassle and a barrier so you must pay a bribe. BUT, they also create a fake channel which allows you not to pay the bribe - but is more than the bribe.

pattayadingo
I have used an e-visa half a dozen times using my debit card and had no problems at all. I also dislike the full page visa stamp in my passport that wastes valuable space. Luckily for me I have a car and drive there myself, get my exit / entry stamps with no hassle from the border guys and have as much time as I want to pick up cheap viagra, ciggies and to look around the market before coming back. falang07
I have just done the visa run to Poipet, and with e-visa one does not even have to wait in the queue in the immigration since they process them in different building. I can only recommend it, and will do it again.
bangkokburning
I do not discuss e-visa only to rant against it as wholly uneccessary and potential issues open to your debit/credit cards. I have detailed doing this visa run for 1200 baht from BKK starting at 0700 hrs from my flat and returning at 1800 home. My latest trick is to buy a US20 from an SCB kiosk nearby as wel :-) From exit to Thailand to walking back into Thailand has never, ever taken me more than about an 1:15 in the last five years. I have done it in less than half hour as well. I am going again next week. If anyone wants to buy me a bottle of Jim Beam (B250) I will take them along and show them how its all done. PM me.
