How To Send Chilled Products Within Thailand ?

Hi,

I would like to know which would be the best option to send chilled items (like cheese, meat and things like that) within Thailand ? For example a friend of mine ask me to buy some cheese and a bottle of wine in bkk and send to lets say Phuket or whatever: for the wine I know how to do it but for the cheese what are my options ? Does the Thailand Post provide its customers with a chilled products delivery service like in Europe ? You know: a box with refrigerated gel bags inside...

Thanks guys.

You could pack the stuff in a cool box and send it by bus. Of course this would mean that the receipiant will have to collect it from the bus station.

That's what my friend does. Works great, but as you said, you need to meet the bus personally.

I know some of the western food companies deliver nationwide, they use styrofoam boxes with dry ice. I'm sure one of them will be on here soon and explain in more detail.

Thanks a lot. Actually I know have the solution for the chilled products (dry ice) but what I thought was solved seems to remain a problem: sending wine :) Why is it forbidden to post a bottle of wine ? That's weird. I dont think the thai authorities check anything going through their post anyway. I will give it a try and will send you an email from the prison if something goes wrong :D No seriously, do you think there is a chance to get caught and have problems ?

Thank you very much for your replies. I do appreciate you touk the time to answer my questions ;)

Everthing that I've ordered over the net (Bunters, etc.) comes buy bus in a styrofoam container. I have to go to the bus station, 40 kilometers away, to pick it up but it works fine.
