Kawasaki Z1000

I can understand that, horses for courses I guess. I'm kind of the opposite and get attached to bikes (unless they let me down in which case they get the boot) and keep them longer than I should.

The last bike I sold was in 2006 and i left that in the garage until 3 days before i got on the plane to LOS. I think light and agile bikes are definitely a lot of fun though, irrespective of the size of the rider. You should have no trouble selling the Z1000 although getting the big powerful bike out of your system might take a bit longer :)

The Yamaha F8 is a nice bike, but the problem with all Yamahas that I have owned (big bikes, not small scooters) is that their power comes at 7000rpm, before that they are almost dead... I would rather have the Kawa or the Ducati - And to be honest, that Z1000 is pornography on wheels... Not saying that the ducati is anything else, but there are fewer ponnies in it.. and it's not in the black colour that I like---

I do hope that the Kwak is a bit higher than the ER6N, and maybe a bit wider- guess it is time to go to the showroom when I come back from my holiday...

HOPE HOPE HOPE...

You obviously have not ridden a crossplane R1.

Amazing torque even at lower rpm's make it such an easy bike to ride- you are almost never in the wrong gear- just twist and go!

God I hate those huge lumps of lard on the back (exhausts).

Great bike and would love to ride one one day :) With smaller slips-ons of course 555

The Z1000 is by far the best big bike I have ever owned, it is like a missile away from the lights and that is not at full throttle, it is 100% more comfortable than the Supersport bike which I love but hate the riding position, you will never regret getting the Z it is simply stunning!! hang on for maybe 6 months because mine will be up for sale!!

Oh and if you are talking about the Ducati 795 forget it, it is pants!!

A great looking bike but very painful on the wrists, guess I am just not suited to that style of riding position!!

Only means you're riding it wrong- you should have NO weight on your wrists whatsoever and only a light grip on the bars. :)

I remember coming down the big hill from big Buddha on a GSXR1000 by the time I reached the bottom I was in agony, how do you ride with a light grip when going down steep hills slowly? they have always given me wrist ache and back ache, as I said I am not suited to the Supersport style.
