Simple answer is the farangs have more money than the average Thai. My guess is the big bikes are also owned outright while many if not most of the newer scooters owned by Thais have been bought on time at horrible interest rates that eventually double the final price.

And, what makes them wanke_rs? There are wanke_rs of every nationality despite what they ride or drive. Guys who own big bikes tend to take longer road trips than the average Thai.

Personally I don't like the bigger bikes, but because one likes them and drives them, hardly makes them a wank_er IMHO. The reason I dislike the bigger bikes is the fact that most of the ones in CM are only 150cc and twice the weight of a 125-135cc motorbike. Throw in the fact that it's hard to lane-split and the bigger price tag, I just don't see the use, unless you enjoy long cross country riding (even at that I would want more power). Anyway, I think of those who prejudge people are the real wank_ers. That goes for the Boston Celtics (Larry Bird included) who were all a bunch of wank-ers

But people who drive PCX(e)s and park them in the big bike parking area at Robinson.... don't get me started on them.
