Renewing A Thai Lisence When Abroad

Featured Replies

My ozzie mates Thai Mrs is coming here for Songkram, and has asked us to help her get a Thai lisence, no problem there, thing is, first one is temporary, {1 year] and has to be renewed within a few days either side of the expiry date, so can it be done by post?

It appears there is no tests when up-grading to a 5 year,[well, not in my case or the wifes] his Mrs cant guaratee she will be back in time next year.

Also for you Ozzie posters, is a thai lisence valid in Australia, could she get an Aus lisence without tests ect,

Thanks for any answers, Lickey..

Since there officially are tests, I very much doubt it can be done by post.

But maybe somebody else can confirm/deny this.

She will still need to go a driving test is Australia... starting with the written learners test, hazards test then driving test well in Victoria anyways. Tell him to check his states road auth website.

Temp Licenses (1 Year) can be renewed from 2 Months before expiry and not more then 12 Months after Expiry.

And no, it can't be done by post.
