PET commonly used for water bottles does not contain BPA.

Sorry for the mistake, I meant bottles with recycling sign and numbers, other than 1.

Anyway - my main Q is about white nontransparent plastic bottles. Most of water supply companies use such bottles.

White opaque bottles are PE. Also no BPA afaik.

You're welcome. Try to avoid plastic marked 7 if you are worried about BPA.
