Jetski'S In Krabi Resorts

A friend and his family are going to stay in one of the nice resorts in Krabi (not sure of the name yet), but I would like to know do these places have the same kind of Jatski rip off scams that can be found in Pattaya & Phuket? Anything I need to warn them about? I haven't been there for years, I actually don't remember seeing any jetskis near our resort (Ao Nang) thank god.

Jet skis are banned in and around the ao ncang area no problems there ,the worst they will encounter is the Indians trying to sell them a suit ,thai food or pictures with various creatures

Jet skis and any recreational water motor sport is banned from the entire Krabi Province. Recently some people from a luxury boat started with water skiing off Koh Lanta and the marine police was quickly in to stop them.
