Dvr'S In Pattaya

Featured Replies

I am hoping to record some sport that is on in the middle of the night and then I can watch it at my own convenience.

I am wondering if anyone has a DVR here in Pattaya, Only found a couple of Panasonic models both more than 15000. I have seen a couple of websites of retailers outside of Thailand and they are a lot cheaper and more variety as far as models go. Even seen a PVR recorder for around 4500 baht but this was overseas. I have tried Num Chai and also Tesco, haven't made it down to Tuk Com, but don't fancy a trip down there if no one sells them.

Any info appreciated..

You could try Power Buy in Central Festival. I know they had some recently. Don't know if they have them now. I bought my DVD/HDD recorder in Australia. Only cost about 7,500 baht.

I think the one from True is 10k or so...but need to be with True...obviously.

The new True boxes come with a PVR capability.

You have to buy your own external HDD with USB and pay True 99 Baht per month for the service.

Nice. Mine for 10k is junk. Never could get it to work properly. Since then, I've dropped True altogether!

I saw something in Tesco for about 2500 Baht - a small box that recorded from tv onto

an internal drive. Had a USB connection so u could transfer to external data storage.

Eye-Tv or something it was called I think.
