Immigration Closed For Song Kran?

Hi does anyone know what days phuket immigration will be closed for song kran?

I need to extend my tourist visa and it happens to expire on the 13th!

If anyone knows the last day immigration is open before holiday closures please inform!

Do it next week as you lose no days by doing early - have not seen any office postings of days closed yet.

Official holidays are the 6th, 13th, 14th, 15th and 16th, the 17th is an extra holiday but maybe not applicable to Government offices.

The 9th is also a holiday, i believe due to the Royal funeral.

My application of stay expires on April 9. Since it's a holiday, can I renew on April 10? I can't do it before then.

Yes, if it expires on a day immigration is closed you can do it the first day they are open again without having to pay a fine.

On this forum in the General topic there is a locked posted item of Thai government holidays for 2012

The ones for April and early May 2012 are:

6 April (Fri) Chakri Day National Holiday

13-15 April (Fri-Sun) Songkran National Holiday

16-17 April (Mon-Tue) Songkran Substitution

1 May (Tue) National Labor Day

5 May (Sat) Coronation Day National Holiday

7 May (Mon) Coronation Day Substitution

Add April 9th to that as mentioned above in another post...and it will give you an idea of when immigration will probably be closed.

Plan ahead.

The ones in red are national holidays, so you can be sure government offices will be closed those days.
