I'm just looking for some information on Phuket's status right now. I'd apreciate anyone that could fill me in.

Is it getting busy down there? Has high season begun setting in yet? How does it compare to last year?

What about prices for hotels, etc.? I know previously there was a lot of discounts going around...are those finished with now that high season is supposed to be coming around again?

What about the bars and nightlife...have they been busy?

What about the general, overall feel--is it really back to normal as the media supposedly reports?

It seems there are a lot of available flights to get down there so I was wondering if it really is getting busy or not.

It looks like it's back to normal, I spend 2 month in Patong Oct. Nov. and the hotel was reporting the best Oct. Nov. ever since they opened in 1994, and a later report from there was even better, 98% booked for Dec. Jan. mostly Scandinavian

I'll say it's back to normal, even though the nightlife looked a bit down from previous visits.
