Galaxy Tabs & Maps! Please Help...

Featured Replies

i recently bought a Samsung Galaxy tab 7"Pus...it comes with a speednavi cd with the programme and directions manual in Thai....

to cut the story short, i cant get speed navi working...i am following the instructions about extracting the files and moving them to my tab using a micro SD....SO, THAT IS PROBLEM NUMBER1...

now i am trying to use google maps navigation beta, and i dont see much happening with that either...it says that navigation isnt available in my location, and will only give me directions...SO, THAT IS PROBLEM NUMBER 2...

I NEED HELP...I would realy appreciate it...

thanx in advance...

mate. check the speednavi website. the software is ok but it is a pain to set up. you may need to ask on the forum part.

they actually had to send me a new apk file.

personally I would download Sygic from the market. maybe cost about 10 euros or so.

Google Maps with Navigation can be "hacked" to work here in Thailand (I have done it on a SGS1), although it may also be activated in Android 4.0, and you can pre-cache some "blocks", but you may need a live data connection for true turn-by-turn navigation throughout the Kingdom?

The thread I linked above seems to have most of the options.

SpeedNavi works fine for me.

Syngic also works.

Igo is also working, but not quite fullscreen.

I prefer SpeedNavi for the maps.

As far as I know all you need to do is transfer the SpeedNavi_signed_GalaxyTab_xxx_xxx_xxx.apk file from your CD to your UsD card and run it, then enter the serial when asked. Not sure what you mean about 'extracting files'

He is following the instructions which are to extract the 2 files and copy them over. But i also have the same issue and mine is not working either.

SpeedNavi are the best maps...(ESRI) and updated regularly....you get one years free updates.

go to the website and follow there instructions....you may be best downloading the newer file. If you have a problem phone or email them. They reply promptly to emails.
