He can apply again in London by doing the same as he did last time.

He can be a dependent on your Permission to stay by applying in Thailand.

He can apply for a 12 month Extension of stay in Thailand without the need for Police and Medical Reports.

2.22 In the case of a retiree:

Permission will be granted

for a period of not more

than 1 year at a time.

(1) The alien has obtained a temporary visa (NON-IM);

(2) The applicant is 50 years of age or over;

(3) Proof of income of not less than Baht 65,000 per month; or

(4) Account deposit with a bank in Thailand of not less than

800,000 Baht as shown in the bank account for the past 3 months

at the filing date of the application. For the first year, the applicant

should have that amount in his bank account for not less than 60

days or

(5) Annual income plus bank account deposit totaling not less

than Baht 800,000 as of the filing date of application

You don't "renew" a visa -- you either extend your permission to stay (within Thailand) or you get a new visa (outside Thailand).

So, if your husband wants to "renew" the visa in the U.k., then he's basically applying for a new O-A visa and will have to jump thru all the hoops he did originally -- prove financial worth, supply criminal check and health form. Or, he can extend the permission to stay in Thailand by merely proving financial worth, but that has to be with either accounts at banks within Thailand or income that originates from outside Thailand.

Yes, he could be a dependent on your visa, but realize that if you die or the marriage dissolves, he has 7 days to get out of Thailand and apply for his own visa. I always encourage married expat couples to each maintain their own visa unless it's a major financial hardship and/or one is under age 50.
