Non-O. Can I Get Re-Entry Permits 2 Times?

Featured Replies

Ok here is my situation. I have the 1 year extension or what ever it is where I have my retirement visa good for 1 year and only do 90 day reports.

If I go to Jomtien immigration today and buy a 1 re-entry permit for 1000 baht to go to a job for 3 months, and then return and then if I want to leave again can I get another re-entry?

The problem is I only have enough money right now for the 1000 baht option or l'd get the multi for 3,800 but I cannot afford it right now.

Yes, you can get another re-entry permit once the first one is used.

Remember, a re-entry permit does not extend your permission to stay, it just keeps the current date alive.

There is no problem purchasing a 2nd one for 1000thb when needed.

I am planning to apply for a retirement visa (I meet all the required conditions). However, I plan to travel in and out of Thailand on a frequent basis, every other week or so. Do I need to get a multiple entry visa, regardless of my nationality? What happens if the 90 day report falls on a day when I'm out of the country?

Thanks in advance.

If you are talking about a 12 month extension you will need a Multiple Re Entry Permit. 3,800 Baht.

If you are not in the country for 90 consecutive days there is no requirement to report.

You don't report, as you only report if yu stay in Thailand for 90 days in a row. Each time you leave Thailand the clock gets reset and starts tikking from day 1 the day you enter Thailand again.

Thanks for this. I got a different idea from post #2 where Terry commented that it merely keeps the current date alive.

It does.

Apply for the re entry permit at the same time you apply for the 12 month extension and it will keep your 12 months stay alive when leaving.

Without it your extension will end the day you leave the country.

As said it does not add time.

Hi everyone, I am holding a visa non immg "O"/ spose visa. So, Do I need to apply re-entry permit if I would like to go out from thailand? thanks

Do you have a multi entry non immigrant O visa and 90 day stay or do you have a one year extension of stay? If extension you need a re-entry permit before you leave to be able to return for the remainder of the permitted to stay time.

well, My visa non O is a multiple entry. so, I dont need to apply for re-entry permit anymore right?

As long as visa is valid you will get a new 90 day stay on each entry. You would not want a re-entry permit while visa is valid.

@lopburi3, thx for the info. appreciate it :)
