Samsung Galaxy 2 Bought In Thailand

Featured Replies

Sorry if the answer to my question is contained within this forum, but I haven't got a clue about phones or where to look, so if anyone can help, much obliged.

My wife has a Samsung Galaxy 2 phone which she bought and uses in Thailand. We'll be moving to the UK soon and would like to know if she can use it there? And can she use a UK sim card in the phone?

I use an 02 SIM pay-as-you go. When I return to the UK after a number of months absence I just top up my account by 10 GBP and I get reconnected to 'free' 3G/HSPDA internet service (for one month) within hours. Just top up every month by 10 pounds, You will probably have to go to an O2 shop initially to set up the 'package' but after that it's easy. There is a volume limit to how much data download you get for one month, which is more than enough for my needs. The 10 pounds goes towards normal calls, which are probably charged at a relatively high rate, so maybe type of deal will not work for you.
