I looking to stay in Thailand for 90 days as a tourist. What is the best options to stay this long as a British Citizen?

Ive seen Siam Legal offering a 90 day visa but when I visit any Thai Consulate/Embassy website I dont see such a visa. Is Siam Legal legit?

Also Ive seen conflicting stories about 30 days visa border run. Will they give me a new 30 day visa waiver as a british citizen or 15 days? Can I keep doing the visa run every 30/15 days for long term? Is it legal? Will I get in trouble?

Thanks for any help.

It seems that Thai government dosnt make it easy to stay long term in Thailand as a tourist.

Yes they do. Single Entry Tourist Visa gives you 60 days, this can be extended for a further 30 days. A total of 90 days.

The 30 days visa waiver is entering by air, 15 days by land. I believe there is no limit regarding the amount of visa exemptions you can acquire.

Don't know where you are but if still in the UK: http://www.thaiconsul-uk.com/downloads-and-visas.aspx

Thanks Colin, That Thai Consulate website is very helpful. I didnt know that I could get a 1,2 or 3 entry visa lasting 60 days per entry. This is great. It will allow me to stay upto 6months.

Im guessing this is what most people use that are young like me and not married to Thai or retired.

Each entry can be extended by 30 days, so 60+30,60+30,60+30 for a triple entry giving 9 months.

If its a Tourist Visa you're after, do it yourself. Its only 1 form and some photos. Same for the extension, 1 form, some copies and photos.

Can't answer about Pattaya as I'm in BKK.

As said a Triple Entry will get you almost 9 months with extensions and border runs.

Make sure you do your final entry before the expiry date. Don't apply too early for it.

Any Immigration Office will issue a 30 day extension for a fee of 1,900 Baht

Think what you are asking about is the Non "O" visa, not a tourist visa. Save your money and do it yourself. Most visa services are overpriced and you still end paying for the visa and all additional cost. The moaney you pay them will only get you instructions on how to fill out the visa applications form.

Go along to any one of the Thai consulates or do it by Post its very straight forward. Consulates in Cardiff, Birmingham and Hull.

DONT pay stupid totally unnecessary fee's for something that's so easy and straight forward in the UK.
