I'm currently on an Education Visa for a one-year course. My initial 90 days will expire this month so I need to go for my first 90 day extension. Will they count the extension from the date I apply at Chaeng Wattana? Or will they count 90 days from the date of expiry currently stamped in my passport?

Basically I want to know if I can go ahead and apply for the extension now or if I need to wait to the last minute (because otherwise I'd be forfeiting days I'd be allowed to stay).

Also, which passport pages to I need to copy? Only the front page? Front page + visa and entry stamp plus arrival card? Or every page?

Thanks.

You need the documents from the School, in these documents should be all the photo copies, photos etc you need........

An extension can be made up to 30 days before if you have the School documents + extensions run from last day in Passport NOT from the day you go to Immigration.

What ingis says is correct. A reputable school would normally prepare the documents (which you have to sign) several weeks in advance for you to take to Immigration. You will not get an Extension without the documents from the school.

Thanks for the answers.

When to go was my main concern. The school gave me all the documents required from their side. I just need to provide photo copies of my passport and photos. It will be easy to get the photo copies done at the Government Complex though if no one knows which pages are required.

Normal requirement for extension of stay is passport data page, visa for entry and entry/extension stamps and departure card (both sides).

Myself the School asked for copy of every page, well before the 90days the School give me a package to take to Immigration, There is a copy of every page of my passport in this. Immigration has always taken every page and never given any back as 'not need'

No idea 100%, so to be safe would copy all pages, if they the say 'no need' you will know for next time..
