What Kind Of Visa

hi,

now, i have my thai gf 2.5years now, and our daughter is 5 month old, first i came thailand 3 times with the 30 days on arrival, last year i had a tourist visa with 2 entrys 60 plus 60,from 1feb to end of may 2011 i stayed at thailand and later i went back to wrok at austria...

now i am staying at thailand for 2 month half already, before i went to vientane to get my second entry 60 days..

soon i will ask for a visa extension...

but then my visa is finished and i worry about going to the consulate at vientane or elsewhere and asking for another tourist visa, will there be any problem?

how many tourist visa can i get?

can i get multiple entrys?

im not married yet, but if i would marry i could get a non imigration visa?

another chance to get a non immigration?

now my gf is holding a shop so we dont have any financial problems, but not very much money on the other hand 55

any tips?

If you married yourgirl friend you could get a visa for marriage but you need 40,000baht a month income or 400,000baht in a thai bank. It is none of my business what you do but it appears you need to do a bit more planning for long term stay or get married and take your wife and daughter back to Austria so you can support them.

If there is a schoolnear by how about an education visa to study Thai, or some other subject. Good luck

The taking care of dependants visas and extension of stays require some sort of income on your part

He would not need 400k in bank or 40k income to obtain non immigrant O visas for 90 day stays once married. Only for one year extensions of stay is that a requirement. So yes marriage would solve immediate problems. For less than marriage most people use education (learning Thai) as an option but will have to pay for yearly course and extensions every 3 months. You should be able to obtain a 60 day extension to visit daughter if GF and baby visit immigration with you.

Yes a 60 day extension is available to visit wife or child without requirement for financials. But this can only be obtained once without a new entry. I suspect you will be able to obtain at least a single entry tourist visa in Vientiane if that is what you want - take birth certificate and copy of wife ID/home register and note from her and you may be able to obtain single entry non immigrant O visa.

If you currently have a tourist visa, it can be extended at an immigration office for 30 days. 1900฿

go ask for extension, and later i go to vientiane and take a new visa...

a tourist visa 1 entry would be ok with another extension,....

non immigrant would be nice...

last year i went to cambodia, and at the border i saw a sign, thai tourist visa 60 day, is that right?

You or an agent with passport must go to PP to obtain a visa from Thai Consulate in Cambodia and it takes an extended period of time from recent reports. Vientiane or Savannakhet are currently a much better option for most people.

The situation in Cambodia changes from day to day as policy changes. Visa services have provided service while you wait in border hotel but due to frequent delays and bad feelings (extra costs on there part) it is not a sure thing.

One or two tourist visa should not be a problem in Vientiane but above that they may refuse to issue or add requirements. Normally a ticket is not required but is often added if they feel you may be working rather than an actual tourist. I suspect you will have better long term luck with non immigrant O visa which seems to be the real reason for your stay and if you get married you should be able to obtain multi entry (Savannakhet issues without financials currently and KL with 100k proof).

Another option is to legitimize your child and get a visa and extension of stay based on that., under the same criteria as for a wife.

yes i want to legitimize my child already when i came before 2 month but didnt do that until now, called at court already telling about 2 month or 6 week to wait, i will do it soon and ask for visa extension, my visa is valid until 27 april...

i dont know i will pay 4000b and change my ticket for, i dont know, 4 month later, and show it at the embassy for visa , or i dont pay and let it just get lost,,...
