April 12, 201214 yr Has anyone seen anywhere that sells tea towels, the sort a big hotel kitchen may use. I.e. good quality I want to buy a dozen or so, so would appreciate any leads.
April 12, 201214 yr Best Price: Buy the cloth you like around Warorot market and have them cut and hemmed by a lady with a sewing machine.
April 13, 201214 yr My wife said she has looked and never found any that really absorb water. And the Thai coth tears too easily. Being from Chiangmai, she knows where to look and has looked in all the markets and found nothing. Does that mean some good material is not out there? No, but we have not found it. Luckily she a bunch of them the last time we were in the states.

Going to Hong Kong shortly so will add to stocks if possible.
April 13, 201214 yr Author Thanks everyone. Looks like an online order is the way to go. they're very cheap in the UK from a catering supply place, so I guess it will be the postage that will push that price up. I will have a look. Thanks
April 13, 201214 yr Author Just found some 100 % cotton ones in Index. Will report back as to how absorbant they are etc. 59baht for 2. Quite small, but the right price at least.

My wife said the same thing some years ago, then on a slow day I went to Warorot and walked around the cloth shops and found some great cloth which she also liked. Nice absorbent 100% cotton. No loss of face, I told her that the shop owner said it just arrived in stock.

December 30, 201213 yr Take a look at Makro, they have a great range of supplies for hotels, restaurants, and i am sure they will have what you are looking for. Postage from UK is expensive now,and they could get lost in the post so better to source them here if possible. regards Worgeordie

I get mine from the UK - get someone at home to buy some for you stick them in a box and post them via regular airmail and two weeks later you have them tax free and cheap as chips.
