Thaksin isn't banned. Hes on the run. He can come back in the next 5 minutes.

Not with the immigration at Survarnabhumi, he can´t.rolleyes.gif

biggrin.png ok, ok... he can come back in the next hour and a half.

.

Depends if he uses his farang passport or his Thai one doesn't it? Two hours or two minutes.

I gave a letter Yingluck, she put it her sack

Bright in early next morning, she brought my letter back

She wrote upon it

Return my brother, bring him back home

I'll give you his number, for his 35 mobile phones

We had a quarrel, a family spat

I write I'm sorry but I can't help you come back

So then I dropped by parliament and requested amnesty

Bright in early next morning it came right back to me

They wrote upon it

Return Thaksin, address unknown

No such person, shall return home

This time I'm gonna take it before the house and put them straight on the speakers stand

And if it comes back unpassed the reds will run riot through this land

The writing on it

Return Thaksin, address unknown

No such number, your his clone

Return to Thaksin, return to Thaksin

Return to Thaksin return to Thaksin

He's got 4 passports.

He could give one each to Noppadon, Jatuporn, Nattawut, and Kwanchai to go and wait in line for him at 4 different counters, while he does a bit more duty free shopping.

Thaksin singing the Proclaimers

When I wake up...

Yea I know I'm going to be I'm going to be a deluded, used car salesman for you

When I go out...

Yea I know I'm going to be I'm going to be shopping and spoiling myself rotten for you

If I get drunk...

Yea I know I'm going to be I'm going to be tweeting all ideas of returning to rule you

And if I heaver

Yea I know I'm going to be I'm going to be that man who doesn't give a dam_n about you

But I would pay 500 baht per protester

And I would pay 500 more

Just to be that man who returned to Thailand, to benefit my family and use the poor

When I'm working...

I know I'm going to be that man who's working hard for me

And the money...

Cause for the work I do I'll pass almost every penny onto me

When I come home...

Yea I know I'm going to be I'm going to be that man who comes back home to benefit my family

And if I go...

Yea I know I'm going to be I'm going to be that man who going to create a civil war, that's me big T

But I would pay 500 baht per protester

And I would pay 500 more

Just to be that man who doesn't pay his tax no more

(Da Da Da Da Da Da Da Da Undela Undela Undela la la la)

(Da Da Da Da Da Da Da Da Undela Undela Undela la la la)

When I'm lonely...

well I know I'm going to be I'm going to be that man who's tweeted on Thaksinlive for you

And when I'm dreaming...

Well I know I'm going to Dream I'm going to dream about the time when I ruled you

When I go out...

Well I know I'm going to be the man who spends more than you can earn in a lifetime in one hour

And when I come home...

I know I'm going to be that man who comes back home and sells half the land cause I'll have power

I'm going to be that man who's coming home for me

But I would pay 500 baht for your vote

And I would pay 500 more

Just to be that man who controls Thailand, steals for his family and brain washes the poor

I. Well, they'll stone you when you incite a Red riot

well, they'll stone you when you deny you paid to buy it.

well, I would not feel so all alone,

because I don't possess an honest bone.

II. Well they'll stone you when you run away from home

well they'll stone you when you trash a Beatles song

well, I would not feel so all alone,

my son sells gem encrusted phones.

III. Well, they'll stone you when you avoid paying tax

well they'll stone you if you're trying to grind an ax

well, I would not feel so all alone,

the Reds want to carve my head in stone.

He's got 4 passports.

He's got a lot more than 4 passports. He gets them by promising big investments in small countries. He doesn't actually invest the money, but who's keeping track? Perhaps he's got 4 diplomatic passports, but he's got at least twice that many altogether, and at least one pseudonym - all of which is illegal in Thailand, but for that and many other issues he's waaaaaaay above the law.

That information did not come from Thaksin, but it did come from another with equally unquestionable credibility and reliability:

Thaksin Shinawatra is now carrying six passports issued by foreign countries, Puea Thai MP chief Chalerm Yubamrung says.

Mr Chalerm recently visited the former prime minister in Dubai but was unable to give details of which countries had issued Thaksin with the passports.

That's a URL posting from 2009. With his average of 1 new passport per year, T may have nine or more passports by now.

Mr. Chalerm "....was unable to give details of which countries had issued Thaksin with the passports." When have Chalerm or Thaksin or their lawyers ever told the truth? They're genetically and culturally unable to tell the truth - even if they tried. Plus, they all get paid to tell lies. That's the first item in their job description. They're, in essence, professional liars.

So he didn't actually see the passports. I hope your not asking me to take as fact Chalerm's statement of what Thaksin claimed. I'd get more attractive odds backing a 3-legged race horse.

I showed this video to my partner, she did not find it offensive, rather she said he seemed sad and wanted to come home. i asked did it insult Thais or Thailand, she said no. So I am left perplexed do I believe Bucholtz and company or Geriatrickid? Not speaking Thai I have to assume both put their own slant on it and so cancel each other out.

So my only comment is Thaksin cannot sing.

I showed to 7 Thai people in my office and they all told me that this is bad, dirty, shameless and low standard talking...

You seem very sure of yourself. Would you like to share with the forum this proof that Thaksin has at least 8 passports, 4 of them being diplomatic ones? Are you going to tell me next that dual citizenship is illegal in Thailand?

I don't think you'll be able to find that quote anywhere, certainly not in the other paper which is attributed it. After all it does appear in the PAD official website "Anti-Thaksin" which might give a clue as to it's plausibility. What that article does define is that he does not have a cambodian passport or a german one. The article also states that Thaksin reportedly has a diplomatic passport from Nicaragua and may have one from Montenegro and that's it basically.

NO. Dual citizenship is not illegal now in Thailand. But i wonder if having MORE than DUAL citizenship may be.

It is believed that he has managed to get at least 2 other countries passports and diplomatic ones to boot. I wonder how that stands.

You can easily find the same exact quote on Thaivisa itself when moderator sabaijai posted it here back when linking to the other paper was permissible.

That makes perfect sense, office people are hardly the types to favour Thaksin, they probably voted Dem. Now go and grab a few people off the street and see what they think.

No struggle with search engines, I just prefer my information to come from outside of Thai Visa for obvious reasons. Even when the Bangkok Post was allowed to be linked on this forum as your link shows it only gives part of the article. As I am not a subscriber of the online BP the rest will remain a mystery for me. However I did read a few posts in that thread - seems like it was pandering to the democrat party line even then (no suprise), apparently Kasit was arranging for the UAE to extradite Thaksin and we all know how true that is. I'll remain sceptical, thank you.

Please do not snip and annotate my post as inaccurate without providing proof to back it up. I'm getting more than a little tired of your "Master of the Forum" antics. You want a moderators job, apply for one.

Take it easy man! Don't assume so many things. That could be dangerous.rolleyes.gif

I am not talking about who voted who. And yes, some of my office staff voted PT but that doesn't mean that whatever Taksin says is fine..

I was just checking on the words he used.

Evidence like the above and past discussions would indicate that you do have some difficulties executing searches, but don't worry, you'll get it eventually.

As for Thaivisa itself, why don't you trust the Bangkok Post news articles that were posted here before? They're not expressing opinions like a member's post, they are direct quotes from news agencies. Seems strange you wouldn't trust the mods to accurately post the quoted articles to here.

As for the article itself, the portion posted in my post matches exactly with the portion of the long quote posted in the news article posted by sabaijai.

Lastly, if you are so adamant to read the rest of the article, the full text is available on sites other than the paid subscriber section of Bangkok Post.... but then, that requires some basic search engine skills.

The inaccurate information I snipped from your post was that the article appeared in a number of places, including Thaivisa, other than the one that was linked and you went on about it being the source and its lack of credibility. Then the information you went on to post about was from a different article. I tried to save you the embarrassment, but since you asked....

Don't worry I'm quite cool:) But I'm remembering something I once heard about Thaksin, that he knows how to talk to common people at their own level.

Now when I look at common people (such as in my village), I find their conversations are invariably coarse and simplistic, corny cracks and slapstick humour, often anal or worse. It seems to me this was the audience Thaksin was aiming at, he was showing that he was "one of the boys", so my village did not find him disgusting as others might, they just found it a good laugh.

So now it's gone from your partner to your village. Just how many people did you show this video to?

Is this something you commonly do?

Are you perpetuating the theory that the educated and intelligent people vote Democrat? When I grab someone "off the street" should I look for those carrying a broom?

From your description of the conversation standard in your village, the appreciation of the wit and humour of Thaksin, and the scarcity of internet users, would I correct in assuming that it is a nominated "red village"?
