Help Please ? Contact Info Re Hotmail......

My hotmail account is being targeted for whatever reason whereby I'm constantly having to log back in despite already being logged in.

Soon as open the web page the "lock out" information is telling me that too many attempts to log in have been made but at the moment still giving me the option to get back in with correct password and writing the two displayed words into appropriate box.....

It would appear that no one has got in yet as password pretty much unbreakable in my opinion. Of course someone could be logging in and out and doing whatever they want to do in the interim ??

I've tried using the help part of hotmails home page but there's no where to send an email asking for assistance or anything that I can see.

If I get permanantly locked out I'm in serious trouble !!

Any suggestions ??

Migrate your contacts and mail outta there ASAP. I wouldn't expect much support from hotmail unless you're using a paid acct.

Dave am no techie here......

How do I gather and remove everything. I use Hotmail for storage more than anything.

I've relooked at the help forums and as you say there's no help coming from that direction. Change of password is basically all you get.

Others asking same question are all saying the same "Help" on the forums as once you're locked out I'm buggered excuse my french !!

I got locked out of my hotmail acc a couple of times because of someone trying to access it. A message from hotmail comes up when you try to log in that requests your mobile phone number and they sen d a password for you to access your account. If you change your password, it should fix the problem

Yes thanks I've changed the password anyway but dont believe they have got in in the first place (touch wood !)

If they were in I would be sure they would change the password. The original (now changed) still gets me in.......for now !!

Guessing I would say that someone is entering the address guessing at the password repeatadly until no further attempts can be made at the time. I come back 6-8 hours later and am being given the option at the moment to log back in........

I now know who's doing it and why but knowing and proving are 2 different scenarios !!
