Kathu Cable Tv Changed My Tv Channel

Featured Replies

The cable tv company which i use for my house in Kathu ( close to Kathu market by the caltex station ) changed the AFC ( Asian Food Channel ) to some other Thai channel.

I know that their are a few cable tv company's but i don't know which one i have in Kathu.

Does anybody know how to contact them (telephone number or address maybe) so i can ask them to reinstate the AFC channel. ( if possible )

Thanks for all info.

It's unlikely that they will entertain your request. Last year Karon Cable company changed the package they contract from Phuket cable and we lost SyFy and ITV Granada. I complained non stop but they just make excuses. Ok we got SyFy back but not ITV. I wish you the best of luck.

Not sure which provider they have, but the gym that I use has ITV Granada. Nothing like working out to the background of Emmerdale Farm or Coronation Street re-runs...............biggrin.png

If it is Phuket Cable then they often change their channels. I reckon their selection sucks compared to KPP but in parts of Kathu you cannot get KPP as I found out when I wanted to can PC.

How much is everyone paying for cable? How many channels and number of channels you actually watch?

I'll start.

225 Baht/month

About 60 clear channels, and another 10-15 that are fuzzy.

I watch 2, the wife watches 6 or 7 others.

B350/month (for service to two points). 85 channels, PA Cable, Patong. I don't watch (download what I want from net and watch when it suits me), but the missus watches mainly the Thai free-to-air channels in any case. Has SyFy and ITV, amongst others.

Hallo Merijn,

I am a bit surprised that you do not know your cable company. To whom do you pay? There must be some source to trace back to the recipient of the money. Make some enquiries and I am sure you can find out.

Maybe Merijn rents his home, and the cable is part of the package, and therefore would not have a bill. Perhaps you have some constructive input?

Hallo Shot,

I am quite sure he pays the rent to SOMEBODY (not just a donation to some charity organisation ...). So why not just go to the authority he pays the (package-)rent and ask for a breakdown of the package and the name of the TV cable company. Simple as that.

Capice?!

No.

Why not ask on an open forum? Thats what they are here for.

Capice?!!!

Hallo Shot,

you ask, quote: Why not ask on an open forum? unquote.

The answer is so simle that even you should have found it: Look at all the replies. Not a single one answered his question with name and address of the cable company.

Some (especially you!) even strayed from the original subject about the name of the cable company and tried (!) to change it into a thread for cost of cable TV.

You got it now finally?!

By the way, I am a bit surprised that the two of us are in an argument here. The original poster Merijn apparently has lost his interest in an answer long time ago. Maybe he found the name of the company meanwhile.

P.S. Thanks for using my own word. Even with 3 exclamation marks.

For me the matter is closed.

I'm still interested but I was away for a few days.

As I don't pay the bill myself I don't know the name of the cable company.

Unfortunately I still don't have the cable tv company name.

But thanks anyway for all your replays and I will try to get the name some other way.
