Posting Cash To The Brisbane Consulate For A Visa Ok?

Featured Replies

Anyone tried this? I want to avoid the hassle of getting a bank cheque but wanted to be sure they would not reject the application if I sent cash.

I do not know if the consulate will accept cash or not but I would not post cash.

It is just too risky.

Hi there Reg ... up to you but I'm also a Telstra Shareholder and a member here so you can send me the cash on your behalf and I'll take care of all things for you ... thumbsup.gif

Why not save the expense of a Bank Cheque?

But don't be a Cheap Charlie and don't forget to include a couple of stamps for posting.

PM me for my post box details.

If you are too lazy to get a bank cheque from the bank get a money order from the post office..........you are not seriously thinking about sending cash are you??

I just sent my passport to the Brisbane Consulate. I sent a postal money order and it took me just 5 minutes and $6.95 to get.

This is what it says on their website, I just followed their rules.

7. For mail applications (usually take 3-5 days including delivery times), please make Money Order, Bank Cheque or Company Cheque payable to Royal Thai Consulate-General. Credit card is not accepted.

LOL it's only $45 and I'm prepared to trust the embassy staff, but I guess that's me.

Cheque it is then.

The way I read the OP is that he wants a Visa for Thailand so it would be the Thai Consulate in Brisbane where he pays the fee.

Many apologies for that., you are very correct, apologies to the OPwai.gif

Reg, re post#7 - I trust the consulate staff. It's the AustPost workers that I don't trust!

The only time I sent cash through the mail was many years ago. The company I sent to didnt get to,do not do it
