**Urgent**Re-Entry Visa Or Visa On Arrival

Featured Replies

I have a single visa issued by Royal Thai Consulate in China. I'll arrive in Bangkok for traveling next Tuesday. On 21st,May, I'll leave Phuket to Singapore and return to Bangkok late night on 23rd,May. Should I need re-entry visa since next fight leaving for Chongqing,China only 6 hours later? I wouldn't go anywhere but to stay in the airport. If yes, when should I apply the re-entry visa, first arrival in Bangkok on 15th,May? Or visa on arrival is ok? Is it any problem to apply late night at the airport?

Looking forward to your reply. I'm worried about this.

Moving to Visa Forum

Probably would be helpful to know your nationality, but I wouldn't think you would need a visa for a layover.

If you stay airside (not go through immigration) no visa is required as you stay for less then 12 hours.

If you need to go through immigration (and customs) to collect your bags and check-in for another flight you will need a visa (depending on your nationality).

But believe nationality is vital as not all are allowed entry without transit visas even for onward flight in my fading memory. The Delta airlines page can be used if you do not wish to share nationality here.

They're two fights.

A Chinese Citizen qualifies for Transit without visa, in esence you don't go through immigration and leave within 12 hours.

Contact the ailrine if you will be booked directly through to China and will be a transit passenger, or that you have to clear immirgaiton and check-in again at Bangkok.

If you will not be in transit a visa is required, but you qualify for a visa on arrival which requires a passport photo and 1,000 baht fee.

I suggest you contact the airline and ask them if you can transit through the airport they may be the best source for the info you need.
